99% of the photos in my portfolio have been edited. The editing or, “development stage” as it was called when film cameras were used, is when the image is transferred from the microfilm into a print and the colors are put back into the image.

As traditional film was photosensitive, photographers developed and edited their photos in the Dark Room. Now in the digital age, instead of a dark room, the “developing” is done on a computer with programs like Lightroom and Photoshop. People now call the finished photo an “edit.”
